Take your Corporate Social Responsibility to the next level by calculating carbon emissions from corporate travel, or paper usage, and planting trees. We don't currently provide certified carbon credits, but we work with many organizations that believe unofficially offsetting their emissions is the right thing to do. Forest restoration and conservation can also replenish water usage for certain industries.

American Forests encourages corporations to use paper that is produced from responsibly managed forests and forest products, but we also offer “Go Paperless” programs. These initiatives offer tree planting as an incentive for customers to switch from paper to electronic communications, potentially saving corporations millions of dollars in operating costs.

The United States is experiencing more intense and prolonged wildfires, droughts and torrential flooding. Help rebuild communities and reforest areas devastated by natural disasters, many of them worsened by climate change. Your support can help restore burn scars using climate-informed techniques, fund research to improve planting and forest management practices or provide tree planting training for people in places that need shade to protect from extreme heat.

It’s easy to understand and communicate: $1 – 1 tree. Thanks to incredible partnerships, we can offer companies the opportunity to plant a tree for every dollar they donate in threatened forest landscapes across the U.S. Many partners add funding for essential support services, such as cone collection, climate research, site prep and post-planting maintenance.

Research shows consumers want corporations to have a positive impact on society and the environment, with nearly 9 out of 10 saying they would buy a product because a company advocated for a specific issue. There’s no better time to launch a cause marketing campaign with American Forests than around a green holiday like Earth Day, International Day of Forests or World Planting Day. From employee webinars led by one of our experts to virtual planting workshops to our classic employee tree planting events, we can help your employees connect to each other and their employer at a time when connection is needed more than ever.

Donate $10, $25, $50 to plant as many trees and give your employees a certificate indicating the positive environmental impact made in their name. Starting at $10,000 to plant 10,000 trees, we will help you select projects you believe your employees or stakeholders would care most about.

At American Forests, we make decisions based on data and help others to do so, too. From our Tree Equity Score tool to our work on The Reforestation Hub, we gather and analyze data so that agencies, cities and individuals can chart an effective path to create healthy, resilient forests.

Finding solutions to some of today’s most urgent challenges requires deeply understanding them first. Scientists at American Forests have helped illuminate complex problems facing our forests, such as the comprehensive barriers to increasing the nation’s tree nursery capacity, and then developed strategies for overcoming them.
