Many are beginning to realize that trees and forests are engines of economic growth. Currently, more than 106,000 people in the United States work directly with forests. In the face of climate change, the need to care for our urban forests is growing — and so are the jobs.
Neighborhoods where Tree Equity is most needed also hold the greatest opportunity for jobs. While tree-care companies and agencies are facing the worst labor shortage in the field’s history, there is untapped talent across the United States that can meet the demand.
