Tia Washington works on the Career Pathways team to help those facing barriers to employment establish careers in urban forestry by working closely with employers and stakeholders in the government, private sector, nonprofit, trade association and workforce development. Prior to working at American Forests, she served as a Case Manager for opportunity youth (16 to 24 years old) facing barriers to employment and education in Tallahassee, Florida. She will be graduating with her Master’s of Public Administration and Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from Florida State University and a Case Manager license from the Florida Certification Board. She lives in Tallahassee, FL.
