Shelley Villalobos partners with stakeholders to advance solutions to the challenges in the California Reforestation Pipeline on both public and private lands. The focus is on enhancing shared stewardship as the frequency and scale of high-severity wildfires have increased rapidly over the past decade. Before joining American Forests, Villalobos served as the executive director of the Council for Responsible Sport, a non-profit that guides and certifies the social and environmental responsibility efforts of sports properties. She brings a decade of experience facilitating multi-stakeholder projects to advance responsible resource management in U.S. cities. At the University of Oregon, Villalobos played softball, earned a degree in Communications and a graduate certificate in Sustainability Leadership, worked in athletics administration and instructed a business management course. She lives in Northern California with her husband and daughter.
