Rekha Patricio leads the Marketing and Communications team providing strategic communications support to broaden the awareness and visibility of the organization’s programs, thought-leadership and research as well as promote and protect the American Forests brand. Her team oversees public relations, partnership communications, policy communications, digital marketing and storytelling focused on forest conservation, equity and climate solutions. Prior to joining American Forests, Patricio led marketing and branding initiatives for NPR, Discovery and the National 4-H Council. Her efforts have won industry accolades including Adweek’s “Rising Brand Star of DC” award. Prior to her marketing career, Patricio was a Journalist and News Associate with NBC News’ Today Show, Dateline and NBC Nightly News. She’s a graduate of Bryn Mawr College with degrees in Political Science and English.
