Nicholas Wilhoite collaborates with local partners to develop landscape-scale reforestation projects across the state of Hawaiʻi. He brings a deep portfolio of experience in field-based conservation and restoration management with governmental and place-based agencies in the state. Nicholas holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. As a local professional with a demonstrated commitment to the field of resource stewardship in Hawaiʻi he was selected as an inaugural recipient of the Hauʻoli Mau Loa Foundations’ Environmental Leadership Pathways initiative, a fully funded graduate assistantship at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. There he achieved his M.S. through the department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management.
