Kenneth Davidson models forest carbon dynamics as part of American Forests’ Resilient Forests team. In this role, Davidson is currently leading the team’s efforts to assess the effects of climate change and forest management activities on ecosystem carbon stocks for the state of Oregon. Before joining American Forests, Davidson conducted research at Brookhaven National Lab, which aimed to improve process model representation of photosynthesis and transpiration in Earth system models. This work included projects in Alaska, Latin America, and New York. Davidson holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Franklin & Marshall College, as well as a PhD in ecology and evolution from Stony Brook University.
