As Manager of Urban Forestry in Detroit, Jesiqua Hutchison supports Community Engagement, Communications, and Administration for the Detroit Tree Equity Partnership – seeking to improve Detroit’s urban tree canopy and urban forestry capacity through a multifaceted public-private initiative. Jesiqua is a native of southeastern Michigan and a lifelong advocate for climate conservation and greater equity across communities. She holds an Associate’s Degree of Fine Arts and a Global Studies certificate from Monroe County Community College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Wayne State University. Before joining American Forests, Jesiqua had worked in both non-profit and for-profit organizations, managing teams, events, and communications at every level.
