Charlie is a passionate climate scientist and forest ecologist that has worked in multiple ecosystems throughout the world studying the effects of climate change on forest and desert species. His experience and interests span from spatial analysis to isotope geochemistry, and he specifically specializes in desertification at the forest-desert interface in western North America. Charlie earned is Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno and his M.Sc. in Quaternary Science at Northern Arizona University.
