Alaina Long is the Director of the Catalyst Fund, leading the grantmaking program that will support municipalities, frontline organizations and civic and faith partners to act on Tree Equity nationwide. Alaina has extensive experience in managing complex operations and initiatives, grantmaking, and a deep commitment to racial equity and social justice. Previously, she served as the Chief Operating Officer at The Oakland Fund for Public Innovation, overseeing the daily operations, partnerships and grant-making processes to ensure equitable solutions for Oakland’s highest need communities. Alaina also served in various capacities in the NYC Mayors Office. Alaina holds a Masters in Public Administration from New York University and a BA in Comparative Women’s Studies from Spelman College.
