Aditya contributes to advancing American Forests’ positions on urban forestry and other key social equity issues by engaging with policymakers and other major partners. In the past, Aditya has worked in multiple policy areas across local, state, and federal levels, ranging from drug policy, public health/nutrition, green business policy, tech policy, human rights, criminal justice reform, housing, and poverty/economic opportunity. Prior to American Forests, he was at Freedman Consulting where he worked with multiple prominent nonprofits and philanthropies to advance their policy goals and communications. Before that, he has conducted legislator outreach and policy analysis with advocacy organizations such as the Center for Science in the Public Interest and UNA-USA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
