Tina Mozelewski is Vice President of Science & Innovation for American Forests’ Resilient Forests program, where she brings a range of experience from predictive ecological modeling to cross-sector coalition-building to the work of climate-resilient reforestation and restoration. She’s driven by a simple conviction: pairing rigorous science with inclusive co-production is how conservation keeps pace with a changing climate.

Before joining American Forests, Tina led a multi-sector initiative leveraging the advances in technology and the power of deep collaboration to advance wildfire resilience and guided an annual portfolio of restoration and climate adaptation work across western landscapes as lead scientist. Her forecasting and spatial prioritization tools now help federal agencies and conservation groups target restoration investments across large landscapes.

Tina holds a Ph.D. in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from North Carolina State University, an M.S. in ecology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a B.S. in biology and environmental science from Saint Louis University. Her research appears in journals including Conservation Biology, Ecological Applications, Fire Ecology, and Conservation Letters. Outside of work, she’s usually found rock climbing, hiking, skiing, or trying to wrangle her golden retriever, Kevin.
