Melanie Strouse is responsible for building relationships with new corporate prospects for the Corporate Development program at American Forests, as well as working with existing corporate partners to support reforestation efforts throughout North America. Strouse enjoys meeting individuals and working with companies that are passionate about being part of the climate solution. Before joining American Forests in 2022, Strouse worked on partnership and development teams for several nonprofit and for-profit companies including Freshly (a Nestle company), Common Sense Media, The Moth and National Organization for Women. Strouse holds a master’s degree in international affairs from The New School and a bachelor’s degree in English from Michigan State University. She’s a published poet and photographer and is a very proud parent to two basset hounds, Edna and Jolene.
