Kevin Montes brings 15+ years of communications experience to American Forests, spanning journalism at USA TODAY and National Geographic, PR agency leadership, and government communications work. He has advised executives and elected officials including Mark Cuban and Governors Laura Kelly and Mike DeWine. A Hurricane Katrina evacuee, Kevin has witnessed firsthand the necessity to protect and replenish our forests and wild ecosystems. He is an avid bird watcher and can be found most weekends exploring San Diego’s coast, mountains, and deserts with his dog and a pair of binoculars.
