Kara leads the development and implementation of strategic partnerships to fulfill American Forest’s mission. She brings years of experience developing and growing civil society and philanthropic partnerships to advance conservation, climate change and environmental education priorities. With Girl Scouts of the USA, Kara worked with American Forests to launch the Girl Scout Tree Promise to equip thousands of girls and their families to lead in their communities and be part of the climate solution. Kara has also served with National Wildlife Federation in the Office of the President and with ecoAmerica to empower faith leaders for climate solutions and social equity. Kara pairs her partnerships skills with conservation programming experience and environmental policy expertise to provide a best-in-class experience for American Forests partners. She holds a Masters of Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland.
