Eve Bernhard is dedicated to conserving and restoring the Pacific Northwest’s whitebark pine, a threatened keystone tree species. She collaborates with federal, tribal, and nonprofit partners to plan and implement inventory, monitoring, and restoration efforts. With nearly a decade of experience across Cascadian ecosystems—from the coast to the alpine—Eve has worked on native plant propagation, ecological restoration, and a range of biological research projects. She holds a certificate in Ecological Restoration from Western Washington University and is completing a master’s degree focused on whitebark pine planting trials. Eve is also passionate about sustainable agriculture and has worked on farms around the world, gaining insight into regenerative practices that promote resilient food webs and healthy ecosystems. Outside of work, she enjoys nålebinding, gardening, reading, and frolicking in wild spaces with her beloved hound.
