David Oñate leads digital strategy and advertising at American Forests overseeing web, email, search and social media initiatives for the organization. Through creative solutions in multi-channel marketing, brand exploration, and embracing innovation, he works to advance American Forests’ online presence in order to deliver on the vision of a world where the benefits of forests are fully realized and equitably available to all people.
Prior to joining American Forests, David has worked both in-house and agency-side for various progressive causes, notably leading marketing and creative strategy at the African Wildlife Foundation for over a decade, winning multiple industry accolades including IAC’s “Best Non-Profit Ad Campaign” and the WebAward’s “Best Non-Profit Website.”
