Austin Rempel manages American Forests’ landscape-scale restoration initiatives under the Resilient Forests program. Before joining American Forests, Rempel worked on ecosystem service valuation projects as an economic consultant, planted trees along streams in Oregon, studied forest regeneration after wildfire, and herded prairie dogs along Colorado’s Front Range. Originally from Santa Fe, N.M., Rempel is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Yale School of Forestry.
