American Forests serves as a voice of moderation on forest policy issues in the United States through programs and services that develop and share information on forest policy issues related to ecosystem restoration and maintenance; bring the perspectives of urban and rural community groups to the policy arena; promote constructive dialogue among diverse interests; and pursue policies and programs based on "common ground" solutions that integrate environmental, social, and economic considerations
