As of July 15, 2010, American Forests has temporarily suspended the sale of CITYgreen software to examine the implications and options related to the release of a new version of ARCGIS (ARCGIS 10) with which CITYgreen is no longer compatible.

CITYgreen 5 is a Windows^TM based Geographical Information System (GIS) application. It is an ArcView® 3.x extension. ArcView® is a software product of Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). ESRI's products have become the most widely used GIS software in the world. CITYgreen v.5 requires a licensed copy of ArcView® 3.x. ArcView® is bundled with Crystal Reports®, which is required for the CITYgreen 5 reporting function.
