This project will plant 275,000 seedlings on 419 acres. This is part of a 17 year program to replace farmland with native vegetation. The region is one of the fastest growing and poorest regions in the U.S., making the wildlife refuge of great importance. American Forests has supported the Refuge's revegetation project since 1997.
