Indian Lake State Park

Year Planted: 1995
Trees Planted: 5,000
Location: Ohio

In Indian Lakes State Park, about 60 miles NW of Columbus, Ohio, the Ohio DNR-Division of Parks and Recreation planted 5,000 maple, ash, pine, spruce and oaks on dredge spoil areas. Planting trees at this site will restore the area to a forested condition. Benefits include providing an aesthetic view of the lake area, bike paths, beach and picnic area as well as enhancing shade and wildlife habitat for local wildlife populations.

This project was supported by our corporate partner, the Alcoa Foundation.
