At the Beaverkill/Willowemoc watershed in New York, Trout Unlimited planted 2,442 trees to restore trout spawning streams. Plantings in the watershed, which is prone to flooding, will stabilize land along the riverbank, reduce flood speeds, encourage nutrient cycling, provide shade and create habitat for animals.
This project was supported by our corporate partner, the Alcoa Foundation.
