The purpose of this project is to set up a field windbreak at Biddle Park in Wauseon, Ohio. The park is in a very open and flat area that currently has no tree cover at all. A total of 1,600 trees will be planted on two different sides of the park. These trees will help provide wildlife habitat where none previously existed, as well as improving the parks overall aesthetic value. In addition, a variety of tree species planted will be used in educational activities.
This project was supported by our corporate partner, the Alcoa Foundation.
