Year Planted: 2009 Trees Planted: 20,300 Location: Arizona
The planting of over 16,000 seedlings in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest will help reforest after the Rodeo-Chediski Fire. The planting will take place in the Black Mesa District which is just south of both Heber and Overgaard towns which were hardest hit by the fire. The planting will also enhance the northern goshawk foraging areas. Boy Scouts will assist in the planting of some of the seedlings.
