Gunflint Corridor Reforestation

Year Planted: 2007

The Gunflint Trail is a heavily used recreation area. In 2007 the Superior National Forest planted 18,000 white, red, and Jack pine as well as white spruce. This project will increase the forested acreage and the longer-lived species in the area.
