Mlup Baitong, a Cambodian environmental organization, partnered with Santi Sena in the largely deforested Svay Rieng province to plant 10,000 with the aid of American Forest. Local deforestation has increased severity of drought and flood. With almost 70% of the ecologically rich Cambodian forests gone, it is important to protect and restore the remaining forests. This project aims to restore habitat for the tigers, kouprey, leopards, elephants and numerous other animals in the region while educating the community on the importance of tree protection.
