Originally scheduled to take place during the winter in the the town of Taliandorogd, sponsored by a grant from Prima Klima, this CO2 sequestration project was temporarily delayed by the snow. In the spring, however, tree planters from three nearby villages converged on the site, accompanied by boy scouts from Budapest, as well as foreign visitors participating through the Regional Environmental Center in Budapest - in all, over 200 planters. By the end of the day over 20,000 seedlings had been planted and the afforestation project was considered a success.
