Year Planted: 2009Trees Planted: 64,000Location: California
The Angora Fire burned through South Lake Tahoe in 2007. This project, in partnership with the US Forest Service, planted trees on 220 acres of land located closest to the urban area affected by the fire. The planting of 66,000 trees helped to reestablish wildlife habitat for animals such as the spotted owl and goshawk.
