Pennypack Creek Stream Restoration

Year Planted: 1999
Trees Planted: 1,000
Location: Pennsylvania

1,000 native floodplain trees were planted on 2.28 acres along the Pennypack Creek. The floodplain had been converted to pasture in 1976, was abandoned, and became overgrown with dense thickets of non-native vines. 10 volunteers from an array of organizations participated in the planting.

This project was supported by our corporate partner, the Alcoa Foundation.
