Lake County Forestry Long Lived Conifer Restoration

The Nature Conservancy is initiating forest ecosystem restoration on county managed forestland, the Clair Nelson Memorial Forest that is protected from parcelization and fragmentation by a conservation easement. With the support of American Forests, TNC will plant 42,000 long lived conifers on approximately 60 acres that were degraded by past management and insect outbreaks.
