Spanish Fire Restoration

Year Planted: 2007
Trees Planted: 18,000
Location: California

25,000 native ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir, and sugar pine will be planted in the area burned by the 2003 Spanish Fire. The trees will provide important habitat for spotted owl and help restore a major watershed, a crucial site for anadromous fisheries.

This project was supported by our corporate partner, the Alcoa Foundation.
