Arbor Day Alberta is an educational program with school children all across the province of Alberta. In 2001 the Tree Canada Foundation partnered with the Department of Agriculture and the Alberta Naturalist Network Society to distribute 50,000 trees to grade 2 and 3 students in schools across the province. Students also learned in classes the importance of trees for clean air, wildlife habitat, commercial supplies and aesthetics. In Calgary, Alberta a special Arbor Day celebration was held at St. Andrew School. Funding for this project was provided by Eddie Bauer.
