Neotropical migrant bird habitat will improve thanks to this planting of ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir, and other species like Oregon white oak planted along Yale Creek, a tributary of Little Applegate River, degraded by logging. The spring and fall plantings will help reestablish seed source and revegetate portions of roads and skid trails. A portion of this partnership with the Applegate River Watershed Council will convert existing pasture into oak woodland.
