Ninemile Creek

Year Planted: 1995
Trees Planted: 2,000
Location: Idaho

Ninemile Creek in Idaho was previously contaminated with mining wastes. The 'bad' top soil was removed from the site before the trees were planted and clean dirt was placed in the holes. The Bureau of Land Management planted 2,000 trees on 5 acres to assist in the restoration of this site.

This project was supported by our corporate partner, the Alcoa Foundation.
