About the Pont Laviolette Planting ReLeaf Project:

Partnering with the Société d’aide au développement des collectives de Nicolet-Bécancour, Alcoa Foundation and American Forests are planting 55 hardwood trees across 19 acres along the shoreline of the Saint Lawrence River, where the Pont Laviolette crosses the waterway.

Why This ReLeaf Project?

The project contributes to the holding of consultation activities across the MRC of Bécancour. This project will initiate a dialogue on the future of wetlands, landscapes and suburban forests near major motorways and the conditions for sustainable development in the municipality of Bécancour.
