Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park, Florida

After hearing me rave about the primeval beauty of Fakahatchee Strand’s Guzmania swamps, my wife HAD to see it. As I was coaxing her into the knee-deep water, I startled a large cottonmouth who glared at us before swimming off. Bravely, Crystal entered, and soon, we were caught in this magical web of the swamp.
