A major salmon spawning stream runs through the property and was in need of restoration. In 2000, 19,200 Douglas fir trees were planted on 45 acres on this site and 800 Douglas fir were planted on another site. This project will restore critical sensitive salmon habitat, stop large-scale erosion and sedimentation and control invasive plants. Crown Pacific donated all of the trees.
