Penn ReLeaf, Bucktail High School Environmental Club and Lock Haven High School volunteers planted the seedlings provided by Dept. of Natural Resources, Bureau of Forestry. The Hardwood and Plywood Veneer Association also supported the project by helping defray the cost of protective tree shelters needed to guard against deer. Benefits of this project include the reforestation of burned out forests, watershed protection for an area which eventually drains into the Chesapeake Bay and benefits to wildlife.
