In the s… Read More Year Planted: 2007 This two-phase project aims to improve habitat for Central Valley Chinook salmon and steelhead and Sacramento River Chinook salmon in the Battle Creek watershed. In the spring, 29,560 ponderosa pine, incense cedar, Douglas-fir, and black oak were planted. In the fall, valley oak and blue oak acorns were collected and planted by the Student and Landowner Education and Watershed Stewardship Program. American Forests partnered with the Tehama County Resource Conservation District on the project.
