The Riparian Reforestation of Big Run Grazing Allotment Project will plant close to 9,000 seedlings on 15 acres of riparian and upland lands along Big Run, a headwater tr… Read More Year Planted: 2009 The Riparian Reforestation of Big Run Grazing Allotment Project will plant close to 9,000 seedlings on 15 acres of riparian and upland lands along Big Run, a headwater tributary to the North Fork of the South Branch Potomac River in the Monongahela National Forest. Trout Unlimited will work with the U.S. Forest Service and 20 school classes to plant the trees in about 40 volunteer days. This project will protect and improve water quality which will help maintain good habitat for the native brook trout.
