These trees will be planted along stream beds and on steep slopes, within fields for soil nutrition, and beside fields to provide windbreaks around crops. This project will establish tree nurseries to grow the trees, educate farmers about forest restoration and sustainable farming, improve the productivity of crops through trees, and prevent soil erosion and mudslides. Farmers involved in the project will receive one-on-one training concerning the stewardship of local forests.
