This program seeks to restore bottomland hardwoods, riparian corridors and farm woodlots in the heartland of the United States. Historically, woodland loss has occurred in this region due to agricultural expansion. Trees were planted in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Missouri. The trees planted included Northern red oak, white oak, pin oak, sycamore, bittersweet and sawtooth oak.
