The Musconetcong River runs through the rural mountains of northwestern New Jersey. The North Jersey Resource Conservation & Development Council (North Jersey RC&D) has been working to improve stream corridors to help the vulnerable aquatic ecosystems that stem from the Musconetcong River. American Forests will help the North Jersey RC&D with their ongoing effort to plants trees, shrubs and other riparian buffers by planting 200 trees across two acres to enhance wildlife, create stream stabilization and improve water quality. Along with planting native vegetation, this project will remove invasive species that have harmed the plants along the river and its surrounding area.
