The TreeUtah organization and its volunteers planted 10,000 seedlings on two of the few remaining pieces of undeveloped floodplain on the Jordan River, in Salt Lake County, Utah. Many migratory birds are dependent on riparian corridors, but in the western United States few corridors remain in their natural condition. This planting will increase and enhance the migratory songbird and native animal habitat by planting native trees and shrubs in riparian areas.
