This project planted 2,064 Atlantic White Cedars, an endangered species. There were only 500 remaining on the west coast of the Chesapeake Bay, and they are the cornerstone of bog restoration projects as their needles form the peat. The project included contributions from students at Shipley’s Choice Elementary School and a boy scouts troop.
