The Environmental … Read More Year Planted: 1996 The area of Guanacaste, Costa Rica is part of the rural dry tropical forests. However, that area has come under threat and been partially deforested. The Environmental Resource Center in Costa Rica sponsored a tree planting in conjunction with American Forests to help reforest this area. In addition to tree plantings, practical workshops were held to educate the community on the best care of these forests to ensure sustainability.
