The objective for this project is to re-establish a Sitka Spruce forest over a seven-year period. Past years of the project experienced setbacks because of the snowshoe hare. From this point on, all seedlings will be planted with protective netting to reduce the damage done by the hares. About 75,000 trees will be planted in 2010.
