In the spring of 1995 and the fall of 1996, over 2,000 shrubs were planted along streambanks for protection from wave action created by motorboats and jetskis. Reduced streambank erosion and food and cover for songbirds were the primary objectives. Members of the Coeur d’Alene Audubon Society assisted with planting.
