Forests are home to 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity and provide essential habitat for a variety of wildlife. Although all Global ReLeaf forests provide habitat to a wide variety of creatures, many of our projects have specific goals of improving habitat for important wildlife species.

American Forests is helping Pronatura Veracruz restore native forests critical to migratory and resident bird species.

American Forests is supporting the restoration of red-cockaded woodpecker habitat in Florida.

American Forests supported the American Bird Conservancy and its partner, Ecosistemas Andinas, to protect the critically endangered ochre-fronted antpitta and yellow-tailed woolly monkey.
